Faux News: "Bolton Inaccurately Filled Out Senate Panel Questionnaire"
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,164013,00.html

WASHINGTON — While John Bolton (search) has enjoyed renewed scrutiny because of an alleged role in the investigation into who leaked a CIA officer's name to the press, the State Department acknowledged Thursday night that President Bush's pick to be ambassador to the United Nations did inaccurately state his role in another probe.

A spokesman said that Bolton had in fact been questioned by the State Department inspector general, contrary to his response in a questionnaire filled out for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (search) during the confirmation process.

"Mr. Bolton was not interviewed as part of the Fitzgerald investigation. When Mr. Bolton completed the forms during the confirmation process, he did not recall being interviewed by the State Department's inspector general. Therefore his form as submitted was inaccurate. He will correct it," State Department spokesman Noel Clay said.

Just hours earlier, the State Department said Bolton had filled out the questionnaire truthfully and accurately. "Mr. Bolton, as part of the nomination process, supplied an answer to the question that asked whether or not a nominee as been interviewed or asked to supply any information in connection with any administrative, including an inspector general congressional or grand jury investigation, within the past five years, except routine congressional testimony," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters. "Mr. Bolton, in his response on the written paperwork, was to say 'no.' And that answer is truthful then and it remains the case now."

GET AWAY from MY flag, you fucking worthless bitch.

9. Words? Mean things?
When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone,' it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.'

'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master - that's all.'

Alice was too much puzzled to say anything; so after a minute Humpty Dumpty began again.

5. excuse me
my republicanese is a little weak but is inaccurately filled out, the
same as "lie" and does "fixing the intelligence around the policy" is that the same as "deceit" and "the largely invisible grassroots movement
that elected Bush in Ohio" is that the same as "fraud". You will have
to forgive me, my imagination is not good with things that are not
true.

6. "he did not recall"
He's got the same bug that Roberts has. Must be highly contagious. Maybe the Freepers will start a prayer thread to pray for their health.

8. Geez, now that the topic comes up, I wonder
if I was ever interviewed by Ashcroft. I can't remember anything like that happening, but who knows? A busy guy like me tends to forget insignificant little details like that, ya know.

11. State Dept.: Bolton Was Interviewed
State Dept.: Bolton Was Interviewed
July 28th, 2005
This just in from AP News… loaded with the customary excuses from the Bush administration…

John Bolton, the nominee for U.N. ambassador, inaccurately told Congress he had not been interviewed or testified in any investigation over the past five years, the State Department said Thursday, responding to a Democratic critic.

Bolton was interviewed by the State Department inspector general as part of a joint investigation with the Central Intelligence Agency related to Iraqi attempts to buy nuclear materials from Niger, State Department spokesman Noel Clay said.

When Bolton filled out a Senate questionnaire in connection with his nomination, “he didn’t recall being interviewed by the State Department’s inspector general. Therefore, his form, as submitted, was inaccurate,” Clay said. “He will correct it.”

The admission from the State Dept. came in the wake of Joe Biden writing to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice regarding claims that Bolton had been interviewed and if so, then he had not been truthful on his questionnaire.

Update showing FLIP-FLOP of Bush administration in response to whether Bolton had answered the questionaire correctly:
