Santorum praises Roberts after meeting. John Edwards does NOT.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Rick Santorum on Friday called Supreme Court nominee John Roberts a "tremendous individual" he is happy to support after meeting with him in his Capitol Hill office. Roberts, 50, publicly thanked Santorum, R-Pa., for meeting with him, but declined to answer questions as he entered and exited the closed-door meeting. This is Roberts' second week of meetings with senators in search of confirmation votes.

Santorum, who is chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, said the two did not talk about ideology during the meeting that lasted about 20 minutes, but instead focused on the nomination process. "He's obviously a tremendous individual who is very personable, very open and forthright," Santorum said.

Earlier in the day, former Democratic senator and vice presidential candidate John Edwards called Roberts "a partisan for conservative causes."

Santorum said he is not aware of any partisanship exercised by Roberts, and Santorum said he mentioned that to Roberts. "His response was that he wants to do what a judge is supposed to do, which is to decide the case based on the facts of the law and apply that as narrowly as possible," Santorum said. "I would think whether you're a liberal or conservative, that's what you want out of your court."

In a better world, we wouldn;t be going through this shit.

5. They don't have to
they're on the same page.

Right-wing fascists who see eye to eye on most everything. Rich boys who never had to worry about a dime.

7. Bible? No.
Just ask Santorum about that one. Catholics DON'T read the Bible. The Pope interprets the Bible.

Given that we now have a VERY militant Pope, that may be even worse.

6. I Hope Democrats Will See The Real Strength Behind Edwards...
He may have made some mistakes regarding Iraq, and some votes when he was a Senator, but I think he's a quick learner. I've supported him for a long long time! If he should become the candidate, I WILL vote for him!

Just wish there were more like him. He's stayed active since running for Vice-President, and there IS probably ONE reason behind it, but he HAS stayed ACTIVE!! Elizabeth would make one hell of a First Lady too!

Grass-roots, boots on the ground... I'll go there!

12. How about Edwards and HER family
I still think the missus would make a good president in her own right.

11. Mine Too!!
Oh, how I wish there were more Democrats like him.

Me, I don't know where I'm going, but as I said before... I WILL ALWAYS vote for John Edwards! Having seen him in person was a highlight of the last election. He can really reach down and touch you. The Democrats would be wise to think about what he has to offer.

I've said it many times before. He's southern, he has location, he has charisma, he has a message, he's personable and he has ELIZABETH!!

Not to mention he's still out there working for the underdogs in an activist way!
