Frist/Stem Cells?? Where have I seen this ruse run before????

First reaction to Frist supporting stem cell research was to spit coffee across the room---second thought was "I've seen this game being run before"!!

Do you remember the 2000 campaign and the odd thing that was coming out of the mouths of Falwell, Robertson and our leader/freaks of the Christian right?? Silence..total silence. They told their sheep (and it was reported in the media) to let Bush run as a moderate. They were told to shut up, not criticize and not bring up issues to him because they were told this was just a ploy to get the necessary votes to be elected and then he would become their man in the Oval Office and hang a hard right----exactly what he did.

Now we have Frist who just a couple months ago was doing that telecom speech to one of the Christian lunatic gatherings, licking their crosses, and now seems to have spit in their face. I'm waiting to see what exactly these Christian right leaders do. If they do nothing or have "weak" responses then I know that the deal has been struck between the Frist and these unholy minions and that this is a total ruse. Hopefully, our rather "dumb as dirt" Dem political advisors don't get taken again.
