...if you were pushing the same thing about the inevitability of Dean last time.

1. I'm putting my money of Biden
to exude the good mix toughness and blunt sincerity that will bring over the swing voters.

2. I'm putting my money on the guy from Rage Against The Machine.
I think his name is Che Guevara, is it? The party needs to move left and stand for something to win over the Reagan Democrats we lost.

6. I like Joe too, BUT he's a Senator, and so is Hillary!
Actually HIllary has less problems than Joe because she hasn't spent as much time in the Senate!

I can't shake the fact that NOT ONE SITTING SENATOR HAS BEEN DIRECTLY ELECTED TO THE PRESIDENCY SINCE KENNEDY!

That's not just a passing thing! THAT'S 45 YEARS!!!!!!

It's not saying no Dem Senator, it's that NO Senator has been elected!

Mostly because of all the different votes that have to take place in the Senate, and the public doesn't understand. Hillary has a bit less of a problem than Joe because whe's only been in the Seante for 1 term, but it's still a problem.

21. I don't think it's the same...
Because Gore was vice-president before running for president.

That being said, I find it ironic that so many people are begging the Democratic Party not to run another U.S. Senator, when it's very likely that the GOP presidential nominee will also be a U.S. Senator.

3. Vilsack will win big in Iowa
Then he will pick DK as the Veep and win with 65% of voters.

17. Senator Tom Harkin won big in Iowa back in 1992
But everyone saw it for what it really was, just the hometown crowd supporting the local guy.

The 1992 caucuses were less important, but for a different reason. Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin sought the Democratic presidential nomination. Harkin had hoped a big win in his home-state caucuses would give him a big boost of media attention and financial contributions. Instead, Harkin's candidacy prompted the other Democratic contenders to bypass the February 10 caucuses in favor of the February 18 New Hampshire primary. While Harkin got 77 percent of the caucus vote, few observers were impressed and his candidacy faltered with a fourth-place showing in New Hampshire.

4. Especially considering Dean was an official announced candidate
and so far Hillary's candidacy is less likely than LaRouche's.

8. Why do you say that
It's too early for anyone but good ol "gimme the attention" Biden to announce.

Why do you think she's NOT likely to run?

Or are you saying that she's not likely to win the nomination, about as likely as LaRouche to get the nomination?

11. No my point is it's a given LaRouce will run
He's done so how many times before, no reason not to this time.

However despite what many will tell you, it is not 100% guranteed Hillary will run.

12. LaRouce has a chance, Joe and Hillary and maybe Biden
I think any of the democrats that voted for "KAFKA" have a chance also.

Perhaps we can get DU to start a group for them.

7. That was the media then as well.
Most of us never thought it inevitable for Dean, and it made us furious when the media trumpeted it. They are doing the same thing to Hillary...watch out for the time when they turn. And they will.

9. It's never easy for the early frontrunner
all guns, Dem or Repub, are soon trained on them.

And early polls don't always carry the key, esp. if those folks don't end up voting in the primaries.

18. Is it possible....
...that Hillary Clinton might forgo a presidential run in order to save herself the stress (and public embarassment) of the circular firing squad?

Oh, if there are deities on this Earth...!!!...

13. My prediction if the DDemocrats run a strong strategy
Run a firebrand cynicin with the party, have Hillary play the initial shield of the republican smear. She can run in 2012 or 2016 and have a much better chance of winning or VP 2008 2012. That plan just because I don't see Hillary winning the Nom in 2008 with the way things are goingright this moment.

14. Oh, I'm complaining....
And I'm not going to stop doing so until Democratic Party hacks quit chugging the MSM's kool-aid about "the inevitability of Hillary2008."

Until Howard Dean and the Dem Party begin calling the media whores on their preemptive handicapping, and call for a fair and open competitive primary in 2008.

For the record, last time around I didn't think Dean or any of the primary candidates in 2004 were "inevitable."

I liked both Dean and Kerry, but I had no clue who was going to get the nomination. I just didn't want it to be Lieberman.

22. Why my credibility?
I wasn't a member during the primaries or the GE, and I wasn't a Deaniac (though I always liked the guy a lot).

I just think America has lost enough freedoms without people we post with telling us we have lost a right to post anything about anybody.

23. Why did you respond to this post, then?
I don't get what you were trying to say. I told a certain group of people they should complain, and you who were not in the group come in saying you'll say anything you want. Well I never said you couldn't.

"I just think America has lost enough freedoms without people we post with telling us we have lost a right to post anything about anybody."

It was a protest thing.
