How about a Joe Wilson ticket?

I made a post on the general discussion forum yesterday. It stated how Joe Wilson is a true hero. Here is the URL so you will have all of the information about his actions:

It has been suggested that it would truly be wonderful if we could get a Clark and Wilson ticket going. We feel, strongly, that it would be a hard ticket to beat.

And god why are so many ex-republicans being suggested as nominees? Why not reward true Democrats, not just the johny come latelies?

He may have been a republican but at one point I drank and smoked pot. I am now a mom and I do not touch any drug let alone pot and I hardly ever drink. He gave to the Gore campaign and is now on our side. He stood up for what is right to a point that he stuck out his neck by writing that op-ed piece. He seems to have handled it all very gracefully under pressure such as it is.

And look at his resume. He was awarded the ambassador job for saving the lives of those people.

It may be a plus that he is a former Republican because the other side may fine it easier to trust someone that was once one of them.

17. Well, they were not that bad when I did them.

When I had kids I had to be careful. All of a sudden if a cop busted me, I was not the only one effected. That changed all of my outlooks on things.

He has done so many heroic acts including that noose incident with Saddam.

The reason why Chimpy could not smear Joe, himself, is because daddy called Joe a true hero and he saved so many lives. There was nothing there to smear.

3. I respectfully disagree

Wilson displays a disturbing number of narcissistic traits, and has been caught in a number of half-truths and selective omissions.

I know there's a lot of support for him because "the enemy of my enemy is my friend," but this guy is potentially radioactive.

My opinion, nothing more or less.

I do not like him so much because he is the enemy of my enemy. When I sat down and read all the things he had done that were so courageous I just about fell off of my seat. I had no idea he saved lives and there are no swift boat vets around to discredit that one. What are they going to do, call on Saddam to say what a bad guy Joe Wilson is?

I also found it very relevant that he stood up to Saddam. This can also be used as a talking point against the freepers right now. Why would someone who put his life on the line, standing up to Saddam, then turn around and falsely say that there was no uranium?

Probably not a net positive. I appreciate what Wilson's done but I think there are better and more viable roles for him.

Sorry, I did not think I was being a nut. People actually brought it up to me and suggested it be posted here. I actually thought it was a great idea once it was brought up.

The thing that started all of this is I was wondering why bushco was not doing what they regularly do and smear the person to pieces. I decided to investigate on my own and I had no idea Joe had the history he does.

I originally thought what a great person Valerie was for doing all of that undercover work and helping to protect us but after all of the research I about fell out of my seat at his work. I have never heard about the good side of Joe Wilson until I researched it - yet another way our media has let us down.

of government service. He could run for Congress I'm sure but it's a huge stretch to say Joe Wilson could run for president.

But I'm not sure he'd be a good choice at the top of the ticket. He's a career diplomat, granted, and that puts him in a great position for dealing with people. But I think he should be in a senior policy advising capacity.

But I'd still follow him anywhere. I adore him. Well, maybe not "adore" but "admire tremendously".
