8. LOL

....you honestly think they needed to rig this county?

An interactive website is not the holy grail either...numbers get pushed live at split second different times.

This is as hilarious as the guy taking away absentee ballots with a Bush sticker on his truck. LMMFAO...yea sure, its THAT easy. I'm gonna steal votes and drive my trusty vehicle with a campaign sticker on it.

That pic was rigged and a fraud. Republicans are evil, they are greedy as shit, they are selfish, they are chickenhawks, and they are fascist in style and principle, but they arent THAT STUPID.

12. Yes, they ARE that stupid. There are screen shots from 02/03/04
that prove they REALLY are that stupid, so as to leave a trail behind of their dirty deeds.

14. The republicans said they will "hammer" this guy......
they aren't worried.... when they speak it is the opposite.... LOL... so why not rig somewhere where people (like you) think it isn't possible that they would rig? If that was their strategy, then it worked beautifully on you. Your argument makes complete sense, and that helps them out one hell of a lot.

10. Well, that or the second site hadn't gotten the # of pcts updated yet
Remember, news outlets are secondary or sometimes even tirtiary sources. It's hardly proof of anything except a need for a clarification.

11. Pretty astute question. Observation.
Now, how do we get a meaningful recount? What kind of machines were they using?

This is like -- such a long, bad, dark nightmare. Like a B movie. Like those silly futuristic scary movies.

How can this be real?

I was talking to an intern in our office today, a very smart kid -- he had no clue. Said, "I have so many friends who went to Ohio! None of them thought anything went wrong!" He's just too afraid to allow the possibility.

I buried him in data. One at a time I guess is better than none at a time.

15. There were also different vote totals at the end, by thousands,
with 753/753 of the precincts reporting on both.

Heavy vote for Schmidt in
Clermont County gets her elected
After a night of neck and neck vote counting, Republican Jean Schmidt has won the 2nd District Congressional election. But it took her home county to do it. Schmidt got 58% percent of the vote in Clermont, while Paul Hackett got 42%.

Clermont was last to complete its vote tally. There were reports that county equipment had broken down and that some votes were tallied by hand. Other counties finished counting by 10:20 pm, and at that time Schmidt and Hackett were nearly splitting the vote, 50.5-49.5 percent. It was a nail biter until the Clermont County results came in near 11 pm.
---------------------------------------------------------------

I wonder if the Hackett campaign had watchers on hand during the hand vote counting after the machines in Schmidt's home county miraculously broke down. I hope they look at the tabulation of all the votes in the entire district.
