On Sunday I'm Visiting A Repug Friend That Is Teetering On His Support ...
for *. I want to bring a list of all those things that he should consider in his decision to "dump *". I am calling on all DU'ers to help me put this listing together. I think if we do a good job on this - we could all use the list. Help!!!!

3. Lies, Lies, Lies, Yeah!
Completely reversed BLM science regarding grazing impact. Report as written said expanding grazing would be bad for biodiversity; as published it said it would be GOOD for biodiversity.

Had oil company exec rewrite global warming reports to downplay impacts.

Lied about Iraq/Al qaeda connection

Lied about Iraq/Niger connection

Damaged national security by outing Plame just to cover his lies

Lied about level of terrorist threat during campaign forcing Tom Ridge to up threat level when he felt it was not warranted

Not in the lie category, but he's on vacation AGAIN!

5. The two biggest things: deficit and Patriot act
If he is a "traditional" Repuke, then he can't defend the continued huge deficits. If he tries the "well the economy hasn't recovered yet" tack to explain them, you can nail the ineffectiveness of *'s economic leadership. Also pointing out the vast amounts of money unacccounted for in Iraq and blatant corruption in the leadership is good.
And talking about government spying on us, even collecting information on what we buy in the store and what we read in the library, is always hard for them to defend.
Lots of was to pop their balloon!
