Charlie Rangel's 75th Birthday Party
Just got back from my Congressman Charlie Rangel's 75th birthday party. Like all of Charlie's events, it was loud and raucous and fun...also extremely hot and extremely crowded. Everybody loves Charlie.

I had a chance to speak to Eric Massa again and promised to do this. Eric is running as a Democrat in NY's 29th Congressional District. This is his website
www.massaforcongress.com/

More than anything else right now, he needs money. He's really a good man so, if you get a chance check out his website and throw some cash his way. :)

Anyway, Charlie is truly one of a kind and I am blessed to have him representing me. Happy Birthday Charlie...and many, many more. :)

10. I missed incap...
but I was looking for her. Missed Wes too. He was gone by the time I got there...another engagement he couldn't rescedule.

Got to talk to Gert, though, who claims to remember me from the Staten Island Ferry. What a lovely lady! And Eric, of course....

Hillary was there and I think she made Charlie blush while giving her remarks. NY State Senator David Paterson told lots of jokes. :) Eliot Spitzer spoke and he was funny too....Lots of NY politicos in the crowd...and, boy, was it crowded!!!!! Gert spoke for Wes, saying how much they truly love Charlie.

It was near impossible to get near Charlie but I did get to shake his hand and wish him happy birthday....He has such a wonderful laugh....

13. Awesome for Charlie! Happy bday!
I've seen him before and have become a fan. He seems like such a fun person like all of our democrats (majority of them anyways). Are there any photo's?

15. He's such a charmer too...
hard to resist. Hillary, in her remarks, talked about how Charlie gets away with stuff in Washington that no one else can because of that charm....She said he can tell you to your face, "that's the dumbest idea I ever heard", and mean it, but he'll do it with a smile.

As for pictures, there were tons of photos taken by professional photogs. Maybe some will show up in NY newspapers somewhere....

Here's a link to some taken by an amateur (although not me...by the time I got there it was too crowded for me to want to try to get any shots):

Doesn't Charlie look smashing in his pink tie? :)
