1. I liked this Galloway quote
"It can be said, truly said, that the Iraqi resistance is not just defending Iraq. They are defending all the Arabs and they are defending all the people of the world against American hegemony."

4. I don't know so much about that.
I think that the Iraqi resistance is probably mostly Sunni, out of power, in a minority, and worried about the Shia, long a majority of the country, and allied with Iran. I;m not so sure they're "defending" Iraq, either.

I think there are good reasons to worry about a Shia dominated Iraq, and I sure wouldn't want to live there if a theocratic government is installed. However, I don't think Sunnis are "defending all the Arabs" either.

The whole situation sucks, from top to bottom. I feel sorry for everyone involved.

5. Bravo, Mr. Galloway...
How often do you hear an argument like that. Certainly not in this country, not even sure I've seen anything like it on DU.

6. This used to be the real Labour Party
The real Labour Party was made of sincere socialist people (but with principles) like Galloway. New Labour is ofcourse a copy cat version of the Tories (conservatives) with a red rose as a logo. The real Labour Party would not have suucombed to Bush's treacherous oil crusades.

8. Galloway called Rantissi and Yassin "martyrs" and is Baathist apologist.
And, of course, he wants to see the state of Israel annihilated.

And he said that Jews had bribed Al Gore to influence his Iraq policy.

Fuck George Galloway. The Brits know he's scum--too bad DU'ers don't recognize the bastard for what he is.

Pro-terrorist. Pro-fascist. Pro-Islamist.

Some folks have weird taste in heroes.
