Freepers bemoan press focus on "each minor thing like Gitmo & Abu Ghraib"
Bush's loyalty raises doubts about his political judgment

(response to news item regarding "president's quick and unequivocal defense of Palmeiro testing positive for steroids," http://www.realcities.com/mld/krwashington/12304921.htm)

1). To: Chester A. Arthur

When the chips are down, who do YOU want on your side? Someone who is loyal or someone who has good political judgement? This is why Liberal DemocRATS are losers and are going to continue to lose elections. The trouble is, THEY DON'T "GET IT!"

"The danger is he divorces himself from public reality, political reality, and it erodes his ability to lead the country," Dallek said. This is another example of the press trying to erode this president's ability to lead this country, not the other way around. They do the same in trying to erode our ability to fight terror. They trumpet each minor thing they can think of, like Abu Garib and Gitmo and then say it is hurting our ability to fight the war. It is them who are hurting our ability to fight anything. Now they are trying to turn loyalty into a negative. In most things they cite the loyalty was deserved and correct. John Tower was "Borked" right after Robert Bork was. It was all about cheap politics and the loyal one was the better of he bunch.

Utter BS. Bush is loyal to his "staff", however you define that, until you lie, or betray him. Either one. Then you're toast. Period. He's never changed in that regard from before he even ran for public office until this very moment. Bush does not tolerate liars, ever.

Leave it to the liberal media to see loyalty as a character flaw
Yesterday his great physical fitness was a flaw, today his loyalty. Tommorrow, I expect they'll attack his propensity to wipe his behind after he heeds natures call.

1. Idiots
They complain about every little thing, they want a one-party state. They don't "GET IT" that the only reason they win is because of the voting machines.

4. Should Be Monitored by the FBI?
Oh yeah, there's a solution. I just love the idea of the FBI monitoring people because of their political beliefs. Please tell me that was a joke.

5. Minor thing like Abu Ghraib????
Minor things like torture, murder and rape? I wonder how minor he would consider it if HE were sodomized, and his wife raped, and his son or daughter murdered, I am betting he wouldnt be talking about them being minor then. On the other hand if it somehow helped a rightwingnut win an election, he might

7. These are the same guys who spent millions investigating a blowjob
For them, "minor things" means "things that don't work to our political advantage."

11. The leaders are cynical, ruthless,
amoral, manipulative demagogues. They promote hate and use anything at all that will help them acquire and retain power. They seem to have no conscience and no real values.

Many of their followers are scared, uninformed, brainwashed people. Looking for some sense of security in a world made less secure by those they look to for leadership.

It is a dangerous combination, as history has shown so many times.
