17. I agree w/you 100%...most people do not understand that '06 is

the most important election we will have, as it will be the one that sets the stage for the '08 election.

It is also strange that people are so obsessed with '08, and yet will not get off their duffs to work for the massive change in Congress that must come before a Presidential election. For Pete's sake, a president is not an emperor...he can't do squat w/o help from a complicit Congress.

I find it mildly disturbing that a site like DU has to discuss Politics 101....:(

19. One problem is....

that I think the '06 elections have to be focused on locally (by State and Congressional District) My experience is that a post in a State forum doesn't get much feedback or discussion. Would anyone respond to me if I posted - Let's get rid of Gilmore in '06? It was great to see DU's response to the Hackett campaign, but really - how do we as DU focus on '06 when we have 100's of different races to focus on?
