Poll question: What should we talk about instead of the 2008 Presidential nom?
It's probably not a good time to discuss the 2008 Presidential nomination. There are a number of other more pressing issues to discuss. Luckily for us amateur pundits, we can still discuss who we should nominate for the White House.

And make sure they can't come back in.

That being said, 3012 sounds good too.

7. so, who would be the best VP candidate in 2008 ???
or, um, perhaps we might spend a wee bit of time talking about the issues ...

wouldn't it be nice for registered Democrats to have an opportunity to be heard on the issues and then have the Party platform crafted around their ideas ...

8. I'm not convinced there's going to be a 2006 or 2008 election
If there is, it's probably going to be fraudulent as usual.

11. How about ways to reintroduce our party to the American people
and explain how we are actually the party of the people. We could also discuss how we can over come being a minority party.

12. Winning back at least one house of Congress in 2006
If we can't do that, 2008 won't mean squat.

1968 - The Last Sitting Senator To Be Elected Was JFK, So Let's Go With a Sitting Vice-President

Are you seriously suggesting that a Cheney 2008 campaign is in the workds?

16. Erm no...
I was poking fun at those who say that it's impossible to elect a sitting Senator; in this case, that would be the argument against RFK and for nominating Hubert Humphrey instead. The irony is that electing Hubert Humphrey would be the first time a sitting Vice-President were elected since Martin Van Buren in 1836.

We all write letters to the pundits and pollsters asking them to stop fucking talking about 2008?

Maybe if they would stop, we would find no need to try and co-opt their fucked Conventional Wisdom which ends up affecting all of us, in a negative way....as it appears!
