11. I accept the challenge

The big thing right now is to make sure Senator Robert Byrd (D - of course) gets re-elected next year.

It would also be nice to unseat our only Congressional Republican, House member Smelly Moore Crapito. There's a lot of speculation here about a matchup here for Bobby's Senate seat. Polls currently indicate that would be a close race, but I find that hard to believe.

But of course, you refer to our foolish mistake in voting for Dubya, twice even! I'm not proud of that, but I'm trying to help change that for 2008.

Back to the midterms, however, my fondest hope is that we Democrats will take back control of the Senate, and maybe even the house. Hoping too much, you say? Maybe, but Republicans are falling out of favor, due to Traitorgate, Bush's lies to get us into Iraq, gutting Social Security and our other social programs, economic policies that favor the rich and exploit the poor,....(pant pant, hold my hand, breathe in, breathe out)

Dubya & company could never survive the oversight that would ensue, if we could just win the Senate next year.
