Let's all say an extra prayer for Peter Jennings tonight.

TVNewser heard this several hours ago, but hesitated to post it. An ABC spokesperson denied that affiliates were being informed that Jennings' condition had worsened.

5. Forgive me if I regard this with skepticsm

I remember working late one night in the summer of 2000 and hearing an internet rumor that Ronald Reagan's death was imminent. He lived another 4 years.

Then there was some idiot here about a year ago who posted a late night rumor--claiming he had inside information--that the governor of Indiana (present tense, mind you) was dead. It turned out to be the former governor.

Then there was Tom Flocco's cooked up story that Katherine Harris was killed in a plane crash. Not true, yet some DUers continue to link stories to that moonbat site.

I know Jennings is ill, but I don't do rumors.

14. I was in NYC last week

One of my mother's neighbors worked with Jennings and said that he was in very, very bad shape.

Unlike Reagan, Jennings has inoperable lung cancer and is probably in the last stages of the disease at this point.
