from the Cincinnati Enquirer.
http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050807/COL05/508070341/1004Iraq veteran John Detling of Symmes Township said he's sick of the comparison. "People who say, 'I support the troops but I don't support the war' can't have it both ways. Talk about demoralizing. For the troops over there, that's like Vietnam."
I can have it both ways and I do and will continue to have it both ways. I am sure this man's opinion is important but who has brainwashed him into believing that it's OK to die for a lie? Yes it's demoralizing, the whole thing was based on a sneaky, underhanded agenda of a handful of evil people. Of course we support the troops. These are our friends and family members. How could we wish them harm. We are trying to save their lives.
It's such a shame that Cincinnati has eaten the *bush funnel cake right along with drinking the kool-aid. Maybe they are too trusting, maybe the hearts of these folks can't recognize a deceitful agenda when it comes from the *president. After all they still have neighborhood parades and lots of fairs and carnivals and fireworks on the 4th of July. They still believe that America is the most honorable nation in the world. I am saddened by the degree of their naivety. Until there is an awakening within them we will have more of the same.
