Killed by Corporations in Bush's Economic Recovery.

Heres a story a lot of people can relate to. I'd like to any comments anyone has on this subject.

There is a story on AP, this morning that said that The President is upbeat due to reports that show a supposedly steady growth in the Economy. Oh really? Well I must have been living in a cave recently because any Economic recovery has certainly passed me by. Large corporations must be reaping the harvest of all of this Economic growth, because I have yet to see the fruit of any of it, and neither has 59% of Americans polled this week. According to the report 207,000 new jobs were created in July, the best showing in 3 months, and I know why, let me explain.
Lets take for an example an industry I know something about, mine. I have worked in The Film and Television Post Production business here in Hollywood for the past 10 years. When I first started out the money was not so good, but I was willing to start at the bottom and work my way up, the way we all learned success could be achieved here in the U.S.A.

in Ohio, the housing is cheaper but the job outlook isn't too bright. :(
I'm really afraid that we are entering a period of permanent and continuing recession due to the end of cheap oil.

Economy is bad here, my business is down, and downtown business are down also. But wait I heard that Exxon/Mobil made seven BILLION in
the first three months of this year. Do we get the picture.

5. Has anyone else noticed the rise in grocery prices?

I see 20...30...50 cent increases in food staples. I can hardly afford to buy meat anymore, which isn't the worst thing in the world healthwise. Cereal prices are rising. I'm very glad the economy is doing well.

I think to keep my sanity I'll have to stop reading these threads about the Administration and the improving economy. I'm apt to throw the monitor through the window shortly.

...Why else would the Bush Admin try to force tax cuts to remain permanent? :shrug:

The only ones it benefits is the rich oil corporations, who are in league with Israel and wanted to wage war on everyone who had the oil to begin with.

I've been watching these kind of staged coups for years. Amazing how americans are finally seeing the truth!!!!

7. It takes 150,000 jobs a month just to stay even with pop growth.

200,000 summertime jobs is TERRIBLE. True it's better than some periods of the Great Bush Recession ( 5 years old now) but it still stinks.

8. Here in NE Ohio its like a ghost town

Nothing hiring, factories closing up daily. We had a pottery here in this small town of 5 thousand that employed about 500 people that went belly up a few months ago. It was the last plave to work in town.

Now theres an empty building with weeds taking over. Its really bad here. We used to be the pottery, steel, brick capital of the country and now were a dusty old ghostown with everyone leaving. Were down to probably 3000 people now.
