that will really set things on fire if this grieving mother is carted away in handcuffs.

3. I agree. People should remember this is for her son
and other children to stop the madness

2. I don't agree
unless you are on the line with them, wishing that they are carted away in cuffs, just because you believe it would sway opinion does not represent the best intentions

Things could get out of control, and people could get hurt

This could be a double edged sword. Do not assume that public opinion will necessarily side with what is right, especially if it gets violent

6. I couldn't disagree more
She's motivating millions to get off their @ss.

Not by being a martyr. By standing strong for a just cause.

7. Why would anyone hope another would be led off in cuffs?
That's barbaric when you are talking about a mother losing a child.

9. EXACTLY, and that is why she has Bush cornered in a way Rove
must really hate right now. Hope those evil doers are wide awake with thoughts of how a grieving mom has wooped them upside the head./

8. Should have clarified it better...(sarcasm)...

I hope that the Bushies are stupid enough to have her arrested. I don't want to see her arrested and understand this is for her son and others.

Sadly, I think that the only way this damn country will feel real empathy for her if the Bushies do have her arrested. We have sadly reached that point where this country is so numb that it takes extremes to get through the hard headedness of Americans.

Oh, and I wish I could be down there with her.

Being a former military member myself I admire greatly what she is doing - this woman is actually standing up to the President of the United States. What courage.

you just may need to phrase it better. I'm not gonna jump you about it; just try to think of a better way next time. We all of course hope that she does not get arrested; however I think many of us do agree that the photo of that event would be the single most motivating picture we can think of. It will also be poweful by the weekend if they make it through, though. Here's hoping for the best and welcome to DU.:hi:

15. A lot of people seem to be forgeting the fight for Civil Rights...
...and the non-violence being met with force, what powerful imagery that was and how it appalled people and motivated them to action. Obviously, no one here wishes harm or misfortune upon Cindy or any of her supporters down there, but their arrest would probably build upon the growing sentiment among the rest of the country that * is not a good president to say the least. That he lacks the leadership, the compassion, and the dignity that office demands. I seriously doubt this will or even could turn violent, but regardless there's no way that this could be missed by the MSM now, though it could be distorted as Sludge has shown us. It could be that *'s dipping poll numbers might dip even further and the subtle shift in the public mood becoming the straw that finally broke Congress' back, encouraging some members to seriously consider their options against him and his ilk.

Here's to hoping that nothing unfortunate (beyond being in the same room AGAIN with that simp * and making him wet himself in fear of *gasp* unscripted, unrehearsed hardball questions) happens to Cindy or her many supporters.

to hope for something terrible.

What really sticks out is the rabid response from the GOP Wrecking Machine. It is ALMOST inconceivable the way they have come out just trashing this brave woman, knowing all the while that had Clinton been at the helm, they'd be screaming bloody murder 180-degrees from their stance now. They should be choking on their hypocrisy.

What I wish is that Cindy had her son back.
