gotta admit, I never expected something like this from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and company as they near retirement age but at least one of the songs on their new album is more explicitly political than anything System of a Down could even muster.

According to reports the new song "Sweet Neocon" on the Stones' new album contains the lyrics:

Street Fighting Man was political. To me its not overly political, but there is a sense that the artist sees the walls around him caving in, but because he's poor he can't "put his wheels on the levers" of the machine....all he can do is sing in a band. Clearly not Dylan-esque, but there is something here the Stones were trying to say.

8. Mr Jagger has a choice to make

He can continue to stand behind what he has said and hopefully become a proud voice in our cause or revert back to the businessman mentality that he is famous for. As for me I will cast my vote on whether or not I attend another of his concerts by what he says in the next few days.
