With Iran "helping" the "insurgents" in Iraq, what better excuse for the U.S. being forced to take military action against Iran? Look for the death toll of American soldiers to continue to rise and much of this will be linked to Iran and their more technically sophisticated weaponry. I wouldn't be surprised if the Iraqi elections will be foiled by the efforts of Iran which will "prevent" our troops from being able to withdraw.

I really wonder how many dumbasses are going to buy all of this over the next months.

2. I heard audio of Rumsfeld saying they're finding Iranian weapons
in Iraq - how? Well, they find them on the ground, and see they're made in Iran, and well, that's how.

There's such a huge push on Iran in the last week it's hard to miss.

3. Now, Dubya can institute the draft.
We've all been wondering what was taking him so long. Now that he can invade Iran with European help and consent, a draft will look legitimate. And the war in Iran will be conveniently close to the 2006 elections. Time to go out and buy your flags! Avoid the rush!

4. Iran is next on the list. There is no doubt about it.
How it will be manufactured, packaged, or sold to the public is the only question.

I have noticed a lot of storys in the local news (Los Angeles) about terrorist threats. I think they're eitehr trying to scare us, or prepairing us for the next big "thing."

9. We're being primed, alright.
After five years of living under this administration, we're learning about how they "do" things. We've seen this before with Iraq. I guess they figure if it worked once, it'll work again. Somehow, though, I think they're getting a little frustrated. We're not as scared as they think we should be by now.

14. I was wondering on how they would SELL attacking Iran to the
dumbass American public, the answer is crystalizing. Iran is going to interfere with 1. U.S. troop withdrawl from Iraq, 2. UNFORTUNATELY more than normal U.S. troop deaths and attacks - being linked to weapons supplied by Iran, Iraqi elections big time disruption caused by Iran......Those damn Iranians....THEY are keeping our troops in Iraq and keeping Iraq from becoming a domocratic society....

I can see the picture being painted as we speak.

Various administration officials have been singing out of the "Songs to Attack Iran by" hymnal for about a month now. What's interesting is that the media has given the subject some play but the "march to war" hasn't started.......yet.

It seems the media hasn't completely swallowed the bait yet.

8. Important article here on the lies they've already told on this:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050810/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_iran_1

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's interior minister said Wednesday that reports of deadly roadside bombs being smuggled into this country from Iran are exaggerated.

snipInterior Minister Bayan Jabr told reporters that Iraqi security forces recently opened fire on a group of men carrying boxes near the Iranian border. The men dropped the boxes and fled back into Iranian territory. Inside the boxes were dynamite sticks with some wires.

"This is all that happened at the border and was very much exaggerated," Jabr said.

12. my husband was saying Iran is next
for at least two years now. It was always in the plan. I think the excuse will be that Iran is a bad influence on Iraq's developing democracy.

I do hope that there is more resistance to the bullshit this time. At least more people realize that the whole WMD thing was a big lie now.

16. To "win" against Iran the US will have to nuke em
I can't believe Rummy and the rest of the morans would start something with this country. The walked into Iraqi gunfire by the thousands. The US leadership (I use that term very loosely) can't be this stupid they just can't be. If they start something with a country with that many people the world is doomed.

22. SEPTEMBER SEVENTH LEAVES CANCELED

Anyone listen to Air America yesterday, when steph. was talking about all millitary leaves after september seventh being canceled? She also mentioned the possibility of a four star general being fired for an attempted coup...I only caught the tail end of her show so does anyone know if she was making a joke or if she was serious? she did mention prisonplanet.com, and I went there and checked it out, but it doesnt seem that reliable. <http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/august2005/110805terrordrill.htm>

So could someone check it out and maybe start a new thread (I'm a newbie so I cant)

The Article talks of a recent arms stockpiling, however the author of the article seems to believe the gov. was behind 9/11 and the London terror attacks, which makes me doubt the entire story. Even though his laziness allowed it to happen, I personally dont believe bush is evil (or smart) enough to have orchestrated 9/11.

25. Actually, no.
For several months before the Iraqi invasion, every day there was some a-hole from the White House on TV basically saying that they were going to invade. While they're talking a fair amount about Iran now, it's nothing like the sabre-rattling we saw with the Iraq debacle.

I know it's not a very fashionable view here, but I'm convinced the invasion of Iran is unlikely to happen. The country has 2.5 times the population of Iraq with a better equipped military. Given our already stretched military, an invasion of Iran would certainly require a draft. Since over half the U.S. population already thinks Iraq is a bad idea, it's pretty safe to assume that an invasion of Iran accompanied by a draft wouldn't be a very popular idea. And scream about Diebold covering for this all you want, but voter fraud is rather hard to pull off when you're down 40 points in the polls.

Right now we're got people dying daily in Iraq, 45 million Americans without health insurance, 1 in 6 kids living in poverty, etc., etc. It's really sad that these issues aren't sexy enough for some people. Spreading rumours and unfounded speculation about Iran is just taking our eye off the ball.
