I have been thinking, other than donations we have a whole bunch of really motivated people, who must have skills and resources that must be of in the coming fight for the future of America. We only have 453 days left, and where we excel in motivation and enthusiasm, we lack in organization. Does anybody else think it would be a good idea to have a DU resource center listing people who have resources that may be usefull?
For instance, if we had people who were graphic designers who could give a small amount of their time for campaign literature. That would benefit quiet a few of the smaller campaigns. I think more targeted marketing is the reality of a modern political campaign. Along with that goes printing, we must have somebody who has a printing business, that can either donate or give people better prices. Also I am starting work on voter registration tabulation on a local scale. We really could do with people willing to do this as well, to target in on certain groups of people who may have a swing vote. The GOP use this method to great effect.
Anybody who has anything to donate for local fundraising. Locally we have somebody donating lobsters of all things, but hey at a grassroots BBQ they will really help.
General organizational skills are also in need in many races. There are many campaigns going on and we need to organize. It would be great to have a directory of people who are willing and able to help out.
