Who's doing what to whom?

Yes, some sort(s) of pact(s) was(were) made and executed between the bush wing of the Republican party and the American religious extremists.

But who's in charge? Who's on top and who's the bottom. Who's using who? is it a partnership or a master and slave kinda thing? If the latter, is the slave (bottom) aware of his standing?

We've generally all held that the religious extremists penetrated the Republican party. But is that the case? Really? Could it be they were more or less allowed or enticed in by the bush (and before the bushes, Reagan) wing of the party?

It occurs to me that the religious nutjobs are simply being exploited for the votes and when they no longer serve that purpose, or are no longer needed, they'll get the bum's rush to the door.

It seems pretty clear to me that this is not an equal partnership. I'm just not sure who's in charge.

That said, who is on top is obvious...the Pubs who have more money.

But they cannot abandon the Fundies who also have money...they must pay the price: attempt a theocracy by appointing Fanatic nutjobs posing as normal in positions of power/influence.

Of course this bodes ill for the Nation as the result is MYOPIA..narrow mindedness and onesided views often based on BS.

The decisions that follow are very much COUNTER PRODUCTIVE for the COMMON GOOD.

True, the efungelicals have been used for years. Throw them a bone once in a while to make them happy but nothing too drastic. The problem now is these zealots are HOLDING positions of power within the Republican party and, now tasting the power, they won't stop until they get everything they want (can you say theocracy...I knew you could).
