Bush, Cheney and Hastert go down in scandal...

...so Ted Stevens of Alaska becomes President.

Has anyone heard any scandals about Senator Stevens a la Hastert, Delay, BushCo, etc? What worries would we have in store with a President Stevens? (Beyond the obvious - he's a Republican.)

I'm at the point of believing that ALL the elected officials in Washington are corrupt. In that scenario, it comes down to trying to figure out who is less corrupt than others. I'm just curious about where Stevens falls in the corruption spectrum, since in the event of indictments all around, he's most likely to end up in the White House (unless there's something really nasty we don't know about him yet, which I'd like to find out and discuss now rather than later).

I'm of the opinion that we need some serious house cleaning in Washington.

Don't know much about him. He's probably an asshole, but he couldn't be nearly as bad as Hastert, DeLay or Frist.
