Let's start explaining to the dimwits that our FREEDOM was the result

of the Revolutionary war and us kicking Britain's ass over 200 years ago. I am sick of these "Freedom isn't free" stickers as if we are fighting for OUR freedom in Iraq.

And I'm sick of people saying - "It is better to fight them on their soil than ours" as if Iraq could invade us with their huge military. :sarcasm:

July 4th is celebrated because it is the date the "Declaration of Independence" was signed which says WE will not be controlled by any other country. It doesn't say we will spread democracy throughout the world by invading other countries!


And the "These colors don't run" stickers. What does that mean? We don't run from oppression of that HUGE Iraqi military????

And one more thing. People who oppose the war are just as much American citizens and the ones supporting it. We are all EQUAL as stated in that Declaration. No one is "more American" than anyone else.

I heard on that Lars Larson radio show last night that Cindy Sheehan should be DEPORTED! She is an American citizen and some people might need to be reminded of that!

I am not allowed to marry my partner. God forbid something should happen to him I don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to his family. I am not allowed to adopt. I am not protected under any laws for housing (Yes a landlord can evict me for being gay). There are so many more would you like me to spend the day & list them all?

Give power of attorney to your partner and make up a living will with him being the decision maker and of course draw up wills with both of you as beneficiaries for each other.

6. Fading Colors

Here in New Mexico with its strong sunlight, everyone of those "These colors don't run" stickers has faded out to a pale gray on grungy white.
