Its time to take the gloves off..........
I think the Anti-War movement has passed a milestone. We all need to increase the pressure and get more active. I am listening to a woman on Rhani Rhodes who was a "closet" Dem..........not anymore. No shit! I am sporting my Car Sign again...It was "Dump Bush" and all last fall, now it is "I Stand With Cindy". I carry a sign I hold up for W-04 Stickered Cars......."F- Bush and You Too!". We need to Freeway Blog, Hold Up Signs, let people know about the War and how we feel. I may even get the old Stars and Stripes out to fly upside-down. I found out there is a regular Protest against the War in downtown Kent, OH. I plan to go visit for some pictures and to hold a sign for awhile.

1. I do similar things. I enjoy spotting a bush-cheney or "w04" sticker
on the freeway and working my way up so I can gently cut in front of them. That way, they can see MY bumper stickers: "bush Knew," "War is Not the Answer," and "Dean for America."

When I see one of those cars parked, and I have the chance to do so, I leave the following flyer on their front windshield:

Dear friend and fellow American:

I know how much you support President Bush and the war effort in Iraq. But I noticed that you haven’t signed up to fight yet. It might be because you are too busy, or maybe you just didn’t know how easy it is to join! I know you probably feel guilty about sending other young men and women off to die in your place, so I am sure you’ll take this opportunity to do the right thing:

Sign up for a tour or two in Iraq today!

You will enable some poor soldier who’s stuck there, exhausted, scared, isolated, frustrated, thirsty, poorly supplied, insufficiently armored, under constant threat, lied to about why he’s there and when he’s going to be released, and yearning to come home – to do just that: come home!

What could possibly be more patriotic?

What better way could there be to prove your devotion to President Bush?

“…And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land. God bless the U.S.A.”

Below are the links you can use to sign up to join any branch of the armed forces!

I forget where I found this - but it was on the internet, more or less as is. All I did was add the second paragraph about relieving our troops.

PS - I noticed not long ago that one of the neighborhood cars I "accented" thusly eventually removed her bush-cheney sticker. Not sure if I played a role in that, but it sure is nice to see a visual blight remedied.

there is no end to the ways to challenge them, but you know my Freeper Brother, when confronted with truth...responded "Ya, and I will burn those books...." when I offered him proof of the crimes committed in his name. Thanks for the idea.
BTW, I see less and less of the Bush Stickers, same thing going on I think.

3. Your last remark just reminded me of a response I got to something
else I like to do. When I'm out driving and I see somebody whose bumper stickers I like, I try to make eye contact with them within reason, of course, for safety on the road. Then I give 'em a big thumbs-up or smile or I shout "I LIKE YOUR BUMPER STICKERS!" out my window at them. I saw a little old man driving one of those, with several Kerry/Edwards-type stickers, and hollered out my appreciation to him when we both pulled up abreast of each other at the same stop light. He hollered back to me - that "a lot of these stickers are staying on. Not many of the other folks are leaving their stickers on. They're trying to take 'em off. We leave ours on there!"

I was so proud of him! There's a LOT of solidarity out there. And this little old guy was quite correct, once I started to take notice. I don't see nearly as many "w04" or "bush/cheney" stickers as I used to. And funny enough, I didn't see many of 'em before the election last November. So odd it was that - after bush "took" the last election, suddenly these chickenshits felt cocky enough to put a bush-cheney sticker on their back bumpers. A nice, brave bunch they are, 'eh? Didn't have it in 'em to do so BEFORE the election. But then again, I'm from Southern California - which is WAY blue.

5. I have a freeper nephew...
if I read him correctly he just has to be on the winning side, regardless of the ideology, just like a fair-weather fan in Sports. I also give thumbs up when I can!! I recently bought more Kerry/Edwards stickers (seventeen) from a dealer on Ebay..... so if you or anyone you know needs one, I would be glad to send it your way.

6. BTW - about your nephew and his "ya and I will burn those books"
you might respond with - "Cute! Hitler did that, too. Nice company you keep, 'eh?" And when you see him after that, you can always greet him with a "and how's the Hitler Youth these days?"

4. Me too, me too, me too
I have never put anything on my car until this week, and here's the one I got:

http://theribbonrevolution.com/about.html#How

It's the one that says "It's All Okay ... Just Pretend" (or, "Just Pretend It's All Okay")

I LOVE IT! And I also have been engaged in the "get in front of the cars with offending stickers/magnets" and let them read mine...

We need a universal signal to communicate easily/quickly with other drivers that we approve of their bumper message -- I never do anything because I'm afraid of distracting them, or of them not knowing what I'm talking about, or misinterpreting.

Thumbs up is all I can think of, but how to let them know that it's for their sticker, not their (uhhh...?) hairdo?

And, I'm in California, too, and I have noticed the exact thing you mention, that just after the election, all of the Bush etc stickers came out, like they were either emboldened by the win (which they clearly didn't expect) or they just wanted to align with the "winning" team (sheep).

I have noticed there seem to be many fewer such stickers (cuz now I'm looking for them, to get in front of!).
