$2.49 a gallon in Dallas Texas
and not a complaint heard from the W psychophants. If this was a Gore presidency would they be so restrained?

1. No, they'd skin any "D" president alive.
Funny how that works; people pick sides...

4. Am I just remembering it wrong?
I could have sworn that when oil futures started rising the news folks said we wouldn't see an increase at the pump for a while because, welll...they're oil futures, and not even turned into gas yet.

Now it seems like gas goes up at the retail level every time oil futures go up.

We're getting screwed again, aren't we?

10. Why you paying for high octane?
Almost no one makes high compression gassers anymore, it's just money down the drain unless your running 11:1 or more.

$2.60 in Portland Orygun. Up $0.08 since yesterday.

9. Look at Europe....
they're paying close to $7 bucks per gallon....and no, the roads are not empty even though people do walk and bike more. I actually hope we see people beginning to conserve again.

11. sounds about right
The higher prices should just shift the balance between methods of transportation (fewer vehicles), not eliminate automobile traffic entirely.

16. $2.66 in Indianapolis...
but then this state wouldn't go Democrat if their very lives
depended on it. I'm willing to suffer a bit financially, just so
I can hear the Repubs here bitch and moan.
