Neatest Conversation- Kucinich related
People, I'm telling you he's going to surprise you.

I just called to confirm a speech tomorrow night at a local Democratic Club meeting. The Club President right off the bat says to me, "Boy you're supporting the BEST candidate of the bunch!" then his voice falls and he says "But he's not doing so well.". We chatted for a few minutes about how the Edwards deal benefitted Dennis in Iowa and how it's not as bad as it looks, and yes, I do believe that.

I asked him what sort of presentation he needed from me, speech, question and answer period, that kind of thing. He says "I want you to convince everyone there that he's the candidate they should be supporting.". Now I know he's saying that to all the candidates representatives, but something in his voice betrayed his own bias. He wants to see Dennis win.

He told me to bring absolutely any flyers and other supplies I wanted, that it was all fine by him and he wants as much information as he can get available. He sounded so resigned when he mentioned that some of the other campaigns (no names to protect the innocent) were bringing videos and that would probably leave me with less time to present the Kucinich platform.

I don't know, I just felt like sharing this with my fellow Kucinich lovers here. I love this guy, and I love how he made it clear that my case is the one he hopes like hell will win over support.

It's ok, though because it leaves me with the perfect opening line- "Well, K*** tells me I need to make my case as succinctly as possible, and folks that's gonna be tough because I could talk about my candidate for days and not run out of steam, but I'll sure try to avoid putting you all to sleep!"

I am PSYCHED!

2. Well what's really a trip?
I get the most horrible stage-fright when I have to speak in front of a crowd- dizzy, queasy and feel like passing out when I get up there, and usually a terrible case of the jitters the night before.

Girl-friend, I am absolutely calm tonight as far as that goes! I'm excited as all get out without the nerves I usually get. Plus our guy to the North has done a fantastic job of setting up a table for an Ani DiFranco concert tomorrow night, and he pulled it all off in 4 days!

I have some amazing volunteers working with me, I tell ya! At least 3 of 9 districts are covered for petitions, completely so we can spread out and hit up the ones we're behind in. This State is picking up the pace where it really counts! :toast: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I think the world of DK. Not only is there anyone like him in this campaign, I have never had the chance to vote for any one like him in over 30 years. America really does need DK and I hope you inspire others to support him.

If you can say Constitution, you can say Kucinich.
