The Right Speaks Truth: "We Don't Care"

In the protest against Sheehan, the Right has finally shown their true colors. "We don't care" is the simple, unvarnished truth, and they came down to rub that truth in our faces. They have no shame, because they simply do not care.

They do not care about soldiers and will sacrifice any number to get what they want. They do not care about the innocence of Iraq or the Iraqi people. They do not care about anyone's rights but their own. They do not care if others suffer for their actions. They do not care if others die as a consequence of their decisions. They do not care about anyone who disagrees with them. They do not care about their neighbor or their fellow man. They do not care about the poor, or the environment, or the general welfare. They do not care about torture, or decency, or human dignity. They do not care about ethics, or honor, or virtue. They do not care about justice, or fairness, or equality--except insofar as those values pertain to themselves. They do not care about love, or truth, or peace.

Indeed, they do not care. And that, in short, is the essence of the problem with the Right. They have named their own flaw, the source of their hypocrisy, and proclaimed it as if it were a badge of honor, rather than the mark of shame that it is.

Along with video of their chant, I see the definite potential for a very damaging political commercial.

25. Cognitive Dissonance is EXTREMELY painful...

I went though it for 3-4 months.

After 9-11 I waved the flag higher than anyone.... I was an AMERICAN!!!!! I wasn't quite to the "turn the middle east into glass" level... but I was hard-core.

I had always been a 'disinterested Dem', I had always voted, and I was GLAD b*sh had won the presidency (I was told to be by the MSM talking heads).

Bottom line - family members asked me to research into the attacks and the REAL American history. I did, because I want to see ALL sides to an issue (and I wanted to be able to blow them out of the water with FACTS).

The 3-4 months I spent in cognitive dissonance were some of the worst in my life - but I came out of it cleansed and desperate... desperate to change this sick system.

My family fought in every war from the American Revolution on.

Cognitive dissonance is ugly and painful... those who are too cowardly to face it are still supporting b*sh.

The reason the talk show nut cases are in Crawford is to make money. It gives them something to do with their radio show. Cindy is there for a cause that is just. The listeners to the talk shows are sheep that follow their leader with no original thoughts of their own.

The right is losing the support of the majority of people in the case of the Iraq war and all this noise they are making is out of frustration.

Their hate shows and it isn't putting them in a good light. They no longer have the upper hand. Cindy has seized the day and the right is pissed about the attention she is getting.

There are many Americans who are too stupid to realize that there are predators among us. There are predatory people who have no conscience or any care about anyone but themselves. Some of these predators are in businesses that we all recognize and do business with. Some of these predators have moved on to the realm of politics.
