Rat in a corner. Anyone grow up a on a farm?
Camp Casey has thrown a giant wrench in the Rove machine.

This is the time when they are the most dangerous. Cornered and befuddled on how to respond to a woman an her simple request.

We have been used and abused by the morphing Democrats that align with Republicans. This same gang is so removed they have no comprehension of the tectonic plate shift that is rumbling their way.

Bill Clinton has dinner plans/fishing trips with Bush. Hillary is almost a non-entity with her Tipper channeling, going down to the bad video well too many times shtick.

Something big is happening with the voice of one woman wanting to talk to the unelected moron. The MSM does not see it. Our DLC sqaud of morons can't comprehend it.

This is history engine starting again, after being rusted in it's place.

Ignore what is happening on a roadside in Crawford DLC minions. It will be your undoing.

2. I agree - they are too quiet right now
between the gas prices, the increasing body count, the upcoming expiration of the independent prosecutor term, Cindy, the drop in poll numbers...

they are either 1) clueless without a plan or 2) cooking up the mother of all wars.

damn, I hope it's the former.

14. sorry, it's #1
after all, B is out of DC, for 5 weeks, for a reason..and it isn't because HE has a life to live...after reading other threads on DU...about Cheney and his plans for nuking Iran, about a supposed "false" nuke attack practice, about a 4* being fired...about military leaves being cancelled for Sept...uhhhh...methinks something is definitely afoot, and it ain't gonna be good..

3. I still think Dubya is more valuable as a Martyr when it falls apart.
They will stage something that they can use to start a war with Iran.

They just might do W and Rove together..

DONT DRINK THE GRAPE KOOL-AID George..!!! It's POIS.... damn too late

4. An average American absolutely stymies Rove--
and exposes his very limited bag of tricks.

It will get nasty, I'm afraid, but we must prevail.

6.  why are the Dems so quiet?

somehow i had expected that those who tried for the Dem. nomination to take up the Dem message and be strong leaders. Save for a precious few, they are quiet. The Repugs take, no, SEIZE every opportunity to get their message out. They are constantly hammering away at their agenda.

The DNC cannot wait until 2007. The Repugs' evil machinery grinds away day and night, deep in the bowels of the earth.

9. I hesitate to bring this up for fear of inciting those who think we
have to go along with the "party" line.

but if these DLC-loving, weak-wristed, watered down, corporate ass kissing Democratic leaders don't shit or get off the pot soon -

I'm all for a third party.

Never thought I'd feel this way about the Democratic Party. Hell, I'm a precinct chair - but they no longer represent what I believe.

When did lukewarm become so comfortable?

17. Agreed, the Dems have a perfect storm ...
to ruin the Repub party. They don't seem to want to get involved because it may cause flack in their future elections. Well, this is one Dem who is taking notes of their absence.

for the glory years of the care free 90's. But not so fondly for ignoring/cluster fucking the opportunities handed them on silver platters to deal with the worst administration in our history.

11. I think they are letting this play out
If they step into the spot light with Cindy, it will be seen as making it about them. She is in the perfect spot, he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Politicians are wise to stay away. I'm sure she has gotten phone calls from them, but she has to stand alone, or her message becomes watered down.

Look at the image, a lone woman is standing up to the President, and thousands of people are with her. This is an image is VERY powerful. This is more powerful than all the dem politicians standing up with her could ever be.

18. You're correct. I had a friend in politics once who said if you wait
until the election to get things out, it's too late.

7. If it's a people movement for justice and a voice - it's good and it
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 10:47 PM by higher class
sure as heck isn't politics as usual - at least in the last 30 years.

We grew too complacent. We couldn't and didn't want to face the facts. Fighting back,

but we can't make it without

eliminating -

Republican voting machines
Republican software
Republican technicians
Republican tv networks paying for and manipulating the exit polling.
Republican tv networks calling the elections

Cindy and all of you who are supporting her there in Crawford country are doing it for nothing if we can't have our own honest vote.

a Fox Terrier at her side. Nice farm rat can bite through a rake handle with ease.
Who is going to be the Fox Terrier? The People I hope!

16. I'm wondering if the elected Dems are staying away because 8/17
might prove to be nasty.

 I can't help it. It's crossed my mind a time or 2.

If martial law is on the table, they may not want to be on the wrong side of an issue.
