Bush: "I think people want the president to make good, crisp decisions"
Bush will `go on with life'
Defends refusal to meet protester

CRAWFORD, Texas - President Bush, noting that lots of people want to talk to the president and "it's also important for me to go on with my life," on Saturday defended his decision not to meet with the grieving mom of a soldier killed in Iraq.

Bush said he is aware of the anti-war sentiments of Cindy Sheehan and others who have joined her protest near the Bush ranch.

"But whether it be here or in Washington or anywhere else, there's somebody who has got something to say to the president, that's part of the job," Bush said on the ranch. "And I think it's important for me to be thoughtful and sensitive to those who have got something to say."

"But," he added, "I think it's also important for me to go on with my life, to keep a balanced life." The comments came prior to a bike ride on the ranch with journalists and aides. It also came as the crowd of protesters grew in support of Sheehan, the California mother who came here Aug. 6 demanding to talk to Bush about the death of her son Casey. Sheehan arrived earlier in the week with about a half dozen supporters. As of yesterday (Saturday) there were about 300 anti-war protesters and approximately 100 people supporting the Bush Administration. In addition to the two-hour bike ride, Bush's Saturday schedule included an evening Little League Baseball playoff game, a lunch meeting with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, a nap, some fishing and some reading. "I think the people want the president to be in a position to make good, crisp decisions and to stay healthy," he said when asked about bike riding while a grieving mom wanted to speak with him. "And part of my being is to be outside exercising."

set the stage for boiling himself in oil.

This is the most megalomaniacal, narcissistic, act of sociopathic superciliousness on the face of the Planet.

No surprises here.

12. Let us translate the Bushspeak.
"But whether it be here or in Washington or anywhere else, there's somebody who has got something to say to the president, that's part of the job," Bush said...

Translation: This is my attempt to sound compassionate and awake to the needs of the people. Those with a brain will see through it in about 5 seconds, but the idiots in my base will suck it up like pineapple punch.

"I think it's also important for me to go on with my life, to keep a balanced life."

Translation: Make that evil protestor mommy and her friends go away--I wanna go play Super Mario!

15. Bush rides bike while Baghdad burns- but so what, he got a mandate
He is thumbing his nose at his critics (60% of Americans) who resent him taking this vacation in the middle of a tragic month with mounting casualties in Iraq and record high gas prices and being too much of a chickenhawk to meet with Cindy. But he got re-elected, that was all that mattered, so now his critics can go to hell. What a selfish arrogant callous lout.

Between these 2 statements, and he repeated them almost verbatim! Where's his brains, JEEZ! Darn, that's right. Back at the "EASTERN WHITE HOUSE!" Man, what was I thinking...

"it's also important for me to go on with my life,"

"I think it's also important for me to go on with my life, to keep a balanced life."

Certainly over 1800 plus deceased fallin' hero's we call our Troops, our Soldiers would like to be going "on with a good, crisp, and balanced life, right now!"

25. Isn't that cute? Our President Bush wants us to see
he uses current adjectives. Here's a new one "crisp decisions". Like a crisp blue shirt, with medium starch. Or maybe he mixed the adjective up with Rice Krispies.

Here's another one: "robust". There's an adjective that shows that you're "in the know". Only top-notch people use that word. It means that something is growing "robustly" or "healthily", like our economy (not).

And yet another "Heads up". It means: look out. Bush: HEADS UP. Your nemesis has arrived down the road, and she won't quit until your fragile approval is flushed. 'Heads up' is actually old. It hit its heyday, but people still use it because they want to be seen as Hip.

Bush does have a tendency to mix up metaphors. One time, I read a web site that has Bush Butchers the English Language. I laughed for hours; had tears in my eyes for a long time. Here's one: Senator Leahy should not get on his high horse until the cows come home".

You see, the neurons in bush's brain (not Rove) have disconnected, and re-connected themselves. That's why you get these strange, strange sayings.

I think this quote wins the prize for non sequitur of the day:
