Iraqi Constitution Passed! (NOT!!!!)

I think I read something recently that said * didn't answer when he was asked by a reporter what would happen if the Aug. 15th deadline for the constitution
wasn't met. As for me, I'd say civil war, but it's a little late for that, isn't it?

Well, can it get much worse? Probably... with chimp in charge.

In my eyes... civil war is unavoidable at this point. The question is what's best for Iraq AND the US now?

Iraq will take decades to recover from all this. Their best option is to ALL join the insurgency to get the US out. Of course that's not in our best interests. Plus with shrub still in power, it's hard to say if he will ever back down in this losing war in Iraq.

For the US, I think the best thing for us would be that a reasonable constitution in Iraq would be set into place... then we would leave the country... then they would have their own civil war. But obviously that is not in the best interests of Iraq (although it's still better than being occupied by us)

Quagmire!!!

Worst case scenario for us is that there is never a constitution that is agreed upon, and our troops continue (for years) to stay occupying and dieing in Iraq.
