Where is Iraq's oil money going?
This is a topic Dems should be stressing. With oil prices skyrocketing and Iraq exporting nearly 2 billion barrels per day, where are all the oil revenues going?

While Americans sit at home and prepare for $3.00 per gal gas prices, they're also still paying the full price of the Iraq war and most of the reconstruction costs. Iraq is making hundreds of billions per day exporting their oil, but where is the money going?

Right at the start of the Iraq invasion. I think it was on Market Street.

2. the money isn't going to Iraq, its windfall profits for oil profiteers
who are artificially charging more money than necessary at the pump.
Proof is the record profits they're making. If it was truly passing on the cost, their profits would be flat.

5. Why Iraq oil money hasn't fueled rebuilding
http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0714/p02s01-woiq.html

...most of Iraq's oil income will pay for a national budget of about $18 billion - about 80 percent of which is earmarked for government salaries, food and fuel subsidies, pensions, and other government operating costs. That leaves little money, even without considering the rising problem of oil-revenue theft, for reconstruction needs.

9. war profiteers, oil, and debt
Cheney's old company is Haliburton, his wife is on the board of Lockheed Martin. I think BP got the bulk of the oil in Iraq, and the British crown owns a large portion of that company. The biggest crooks are at the Federal Reserve, the country takes out the loans, they create money from nothing, and we pay them back with interest.

10. There's a website for this question, at
http://www.iraqrevenuewatch.org/ (sponsored by Soros, I think)

But I admit I can't easily see the answer in amongst the hundreds of difficult sounding documents they have there... Maybe the question is a little more complex than you'd think.. ;-)

Still, might be an interesting read for someone wanting to know more.

13. it's amazing how much information is really out there
although the guides at this site help you learn about where to look for the oil money. There's is still work to be done. but the broader issue is the fact that this info is out there but we get the Michelle Halloway story(which is a tragedy) beaten into to our heads day in a day out but a story about where the fuck is all the money were spending in Iraq hardly gets noticed.

AND Gingrich goes on TV and says that the media is controlled by the liberal elite, hmmmmmm

11. Iraq is not exporting 2bn barrels a day. They'd run out in a month
at that rate.

2 million barrels a day, maybe.
