to be Liberated from the Dictator Saddam (i.e., in her mind, the White Southern Plantation Owners)or she feels so alienated from her own identity with "Slavery" that she thinks she is Lincoln agonizing over how to deal with the "situation in the South, post Civil War" with trying to teach "former Slaves" how to deal with their freedom.

She lectures and teaches but listening to her she "talks down to the Iraqi's" the way that the newly freed slaves must have felt they were treated when they were offered, "Forty Acres and a Mule."

I find her "talking down, preachy tone about how the "Iraqi's must be given time because this is all so NEW to them" really condensending.

BUT....what if she's really sincere? What if she looks on Bush the way Sally Hemmings might have seen Jefferson? What if she sees herself as Jefferson and is trying to "liberate" Sally Hemmings.

What if she's really a good, honest person who identifies with the Iraqi's and has dug down into her roots and really empathizes with what they are facing in drafting this Constitution after so many years of suffering under Saddam's oppression.

Will the History writers be kind to her. That her compassion was so great because of her own history that she saw bringing FREEDOM to all those oppressed was her "Karma" or her "mission in life?"

If that's true, then why has she not been more definitive with what's going on in Africa where the misery is beyond description...but, hey, who knows what's in her mind. :shrug:

on Blitzer's new "Situation Room" where Andrea Koppel (is she Ted Koppel's daughter?) and they sort of held the whole hour waiting for Condi...Condi Watch....while they jibbered and jabbered about what it all meant and looked bored because they knew it's all propaganda.

Finally when the great "WIZARD CONDI" Appeared...she just gave a bunch of crap about "this is the 'first time' for Iraqi's with this vote for Constitution (like they were "virgins" worrying about the loss of their status) and then she set off into the Bush Spin where she was VERY comfortable.

I thought her quick change from "Bush Pig Farm Casual Dress (pink tank and sweater and capri's) to the "Military white jacket with epaulets before Blitzer" was as bizarre as them waiting for her to say nothing, and her saying nothing...but I understand that fellow DU'ers get freaked when some of us "criticize dress, mannerisms and posturings of the BUSH FAMOUS." Some think we should ignore what they wear, their personal relationships and how they use this in "Public Relations Spin."

PSHAW! I say.... What Condi wears is as important as what she says most times and her "relationship" with the Chimp is even MORE IMPORTANT!

Condi is not like any other female who has earned "her spurs." We need to ask..."HOW...did she earn her spurs." :shrug:
