2. It's really hard to imagine what is going on in Iraq and why

they didn't know that given the chance, the whole thing would go Islamic. Did they really believe that it would be a secular representative government with full rights for women? Could they have actually been THAT stupid? It is clear now that they would have been far better off with Saddam & a lifting of sanctions.
