I got the idea from watching a Katherine Harris landing at a recent wingnut blabfest. Brooms. That`s what we need, as in clean sweep.
Democrats and anyone else interested in saving whatever is left of our country should unite and vote out that cesspool in Washington. Might as well grab a Haz-Mat suit while you`re at it, because it`s going to be a nasty job. The crap spewed out by Limbaugh and Hannity zealots will be ankle-deep in the first nanosecond. If their types can run over a row of white crosses, you can bet we`ll be in for a hellish ride.
They`ve got to go. All of them, from the weak-kneed Democratic Senators whose falsetto "Me too, me too" helped nurture Bush`s war lies, to the party pundits who fostered the DLC`s branding of anti-war Democrats. Howard Dean wasn`t kidding when he said that our country needed taking back.
Some people here and elsewhere scoffed when posters used the word "fascism" but as far as I`m concerned, it`s a current and disturbing threat. Nearly every institution has been altered by rightwing extremists whose stranglehold on our government has created a dangerous national silence. Nearly every media outlet marches to the same red, white and blue tune. Last night, bringing up the rear, was a new V-8 commercial using Uncle Sam and drill march music. Don`t you dare not buy it if you know what`s good for you. At this rate within six months we`ll all be ho-humming when we see torture photos from Abu Gahrib.
Years ago John McCain suffered through horrible torture in a prison camp. Today, he runs around the country as Bush`s Eager Beaver, supporting an administration uses torture in a prison camp. That`s how screwed up things are. We must figure out a way to stop these people. We must reach down inside and find every bit of strength we can possibly muster to put an end to this corrupt and dangerous gang that has us by the throat.
