DU this Poll....

...I've read it her a hundred times and responded many. But thinking about it today I began to ask if the game was worth the candle.Let's look at how it goes...a new poll (or even a news story) shows up on ,oh say, Yahoo and is rated downward by freeper types and then noted by an outraged DU type who runs to the forum,posts an alarm and then we all grab our pitchforks and torches and head over en masse in order to "do justice" to the poll, story, whatever on the other site.Has a poll number on Yahoo ever changed your mind?
I imagine I should don my flame suit here, but I will make a statement....I will no longer DU ANYTHING-as Grandpa once told me it wastes my time and it annoys the pig (Never try to teach a pig to whistle...).MY time is better spent on THIS site....

My feeling is that public opinion polls may get some to ask why the results are leaning in a certain direction. If more people vote that Roe v. Wade should not be overturned, then that may get some to wonder why people think that way.

Nothing wrong with that... And remember, there are freepers-a-plenty running rampid here. They take advantage of every "DU this poll" post, just as often as they bring to attention their own "Freep this poll" post.

ALWAYS rate UP ANY Yahoo story linked at DU. Also E-Mail a copy of THAT story (to yourself if need be). THIS DIRECTLY affects how many people SEE the story!
