4. My dad grew up on a farm near Lawrence and I remember it

very fondly.

One of my favorite aunts would have been at that rally if she was able; a longtime schoolteacher there.

The woman on the right looks vaguely familiar, perhaps a distant relative.

I'm proud of you guys. My Lawrence area relatives are proud of you as well; my grandparents sent SEVEN sons to WW2!

She and her family are moving to New Zealand

7. I live in Lawrence.

I wish I could have gone to the vigil, but I don't have a car, and I figured it would have been too dark to walk home by the time it broke up. I started to sign up for it several times, but ultimately chickened out. I hate to walk long distances in the dark by myself.

I hope it makes the front page of the Lawrence Journal-WOrld tomorrow morning!
