Cindy's son was killed in war and her mother had a stroke
and "christians" trash her and right wing radio demonizes her. What will Jesus do to these people when their time comes? You'd think if they were as well versed in scripture as they would like us to believe they wouldn't live such hateful lives. But, they have been instructed to pick and choose in the bible what can be used to support their views. Ignorant pawns doing their masters bidding.

1. I've always said, if these creeps are the ones who get admitted to Heaven,
I'll truly take my chances in Hell.

5. well,,,,, call me a jerk...or worse...
but personally i hope that we ALL end up 'fixed'-

And together, without harboring any old grudges, or feeling scared, scarred, envious, guilty or any negative- life destroying emotion or urges.

even the very worst of the worst. cause i've done some things i sincerly regret, felt things i wish i never had cause to, and love/ed people who can be total complete assholes in some ways. (which i am too)

What i feel for those people who need to hate Cindy for her standing strong in the face of such overwhelming loss, trial, and sorrow is really sad.
Cindy is someone i find easy to love and admire, and respect. She's living life with compassion, honesty, and vunerability- unafraid of BEING who she truly is. "They" are terrified, angry, frustrated, weak, self-loathing (which often shows up as super-ego righteous).

Cindy is wounded, and broken, but she is 'awake, aware and active)
"They" are blind, bigoted, compassionately bancrupt, and bound up so tight it will be incredibly painful for them to 'straighten out' - but i hope they do.

...yeah, i'm a fool-

"Years ago I recognized my kinship with all living things, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on the earth. I said then and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it; while there is a criminal element, I am of it; while there is a soul in prison, I am not free."

6. I'd prefer to call you something else
Namely, a very insightful, humane, zen-like presence. No offense.

14. Read "The Last Battle" by C..S. Lewis
That sums up my beliefs about the end of the world, or judgment day, or whatever you want to call it.

18. oh, i DO understand,
and feel the same... pull... but somewhere, somehow it has to stop with someone.

And i'm the only one i can 'control' (sometimes) and i will choose to reject spreading the hate.

even if i have to be burned. perhaps my children won't.

this world is so angry, frightened, mean, selfish, and enraged.
i cry in my sleep.
we can't keep going like this.

peace-

2. They will say that God is punishing Cindy for being anti-Crusade.
There are a lot of these "Christians" that gloated over the tsunami victims being wiped out because they were non-Christians.

They are disgusting and reprehensible.

7. Use it on them...
Did God punish that Olson woman by allowing her plane to crash in that Pennsylvania field?

Did God punish Ronald Reagan by rendering him senile and helpless for almost 10 years before letting Death deal the final blow?

11. They're the same ones who sneered at, and besmirched the honor
of earning a Purple Heart in combat. They not only went after Kerry - who'd volunteered for Vietnam while their little spoiled dilletante arrogant pansy-ass CHICKENHAWK hid out in some cushy "champagne unit" with their chainsaws for Satan, they sashayed around their convention with those revolting purple heart band-aids, mocking not only Kerry's sacrifice but that of ANYONE AND EVERYONE ELSE who'd ever won a Purple Heart. They mocked all of those brave soldiers AND their sacrifice, AND their injuries, and the entire concept of the Purple Heart, itself.

I feel a burning hatred for them as passionate as the burning hatred I feel for bush. I hope they wind up in the lowest levels of Hell.

17. i'm not going to be
haughty or pretend to 'know' your mind-

but maybe you might look at it this way...
YOU, clearly DO honor and value the gifts of those who sacrificed and suffered for people who would then turn around and smear them, and in your gratitude, and compassion, you feel connected to, and protective of their service. And seeing that .... be-littled, and trashed is in fact, WRONG.

But, i say, folks who need to condemn others for doing good, are folks who feel very BAD about who they really are. And especially when they feel 'guilty' and 'unworthy' they can only gain comfort, or quiet the nagging voice inside them, by yelling demeaning comments about those that live as 'they' wish they could/did.

so, ... and i say this with as much gentleness as i can... look more upon the good done by Cindy, and Kerry and all the nameless, faceless people who are the targets of those 'sorry' haters. The 'good' done is FAR more lasting and important than the 'smear' because the good IS true, real, and lasting. And imagine feeling so small, that you have to hate others who do good, in order to 'justify' your own being.

????? does that make any sense???? i'm really working on cleaning my 'house'-.... and please take my thoughts in, or toss them away as you feel best.

You just don't strike me as a 'hater'- rather a 'lover' who is tired of all the mean-ness, and hurting.

peace,
blu

3. Jesus made His position very clear on such people
From the 25th chapter of Matthew's gospel...

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

8. As soon as I heard Cindy's mother had a stroke,
I thought, now they will say she caused it because of her protest in Crawford. Then I thought no they wouldn't stoop that low! I was WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!! These people are soooo full of HATE! There just isn't any other explanation!!

16. you are so right on that one. when they say support the troops
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 05:11 PM by jonnyblitz
they really mean "support bush". they try to blur the two together so if you don't support bush they try to confuse things by saying you don't support the troops.
