Top Ten Reasons Bush and Cheney Should Go Directly to Jail
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 09:52 PM by smoogatz
10.The March, 2004 Bushco-orchestrated coup against Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the democratically elected leader of Haiti, and the kidnapping of Aristide by U.S. troops. A clear violation of international law, which left Haiti in the hands of criminal gangs.

9.The billions of dollars in earmarked reconstruction funds that "went missing" in Iraq. Was it $2 billion? $5 billion? $9 Billion? What a difference that money could have made if it had actually gone toward putting the Iraqi people to work, rebuilding their country! Why, it might have staved off the insurgency, then in its infancy. Instead, it disappeared into the pockets of Bushco cronies.

8.The April, 2002 Bushco-orchestrated coup in Venezuela, and the kidnapping of democratically elected leader Hugo Chavez by U.S. agents. Turns out, it was all about oil.

7.The stolen 2000 election. Was there a top-down conspiracy to steal Florida's electoral votes, involving the Bush brothers, Karl Rove and Katherine Harris? You bet your ass there was.

6.The outing of Valerie Plame, a covert CIA operative who just happened to be working on WMD proliferation. Rove made the calls, but did he do it without Bush's prior approval? If you believe that, I've got this great bridge I'd like you to take a look at...

5.The torture of detainees at Abu Ghraib, Baghram, Guatanamo Bay and elsewhere. Bush may look like an idiot, talk like an idiot and be an idiot--but that doesn't mean he didn't order the inhumane treatment of prisoners of war.

4.Bankrupting the nation by giving away trillions in tax cuts to the rich in a time of war and looming financial crisis. Who would Jesus give a tax cut to?

3.Theft of 2004 election. See number seven, substitute Ohio, add Diebold.

2.9/11. Criminal negligence at best. Insane conspiracy at worst. Either way, 3,000 innocent Americans died on their watch, and they did nothing to prevent it.

1.Iraq's non-existent WMD. Two years later, almost 2,000 American soldiers dead, over 15,000 wounded, and God only knows how many Iraqis killed and wounded, because we ain't counting. 300 billion taxpayer dollars wasted--and what have we accomplished? Bushco freed the Iraqi people from Saddam so they can be ruled by--(drum-roll please)--the Moolahs in Iran. Bush lied to the Congress, the American people and the world, and now Iraq is drifting irretrievably toward civil war, America's credibility and goodwill in the world has been squandered, our military is broken and the country is bitterly divided. But hey, Iraq is sitting on top of 220 billion barrels of oil--enough to supply our current consumption for thirty years. It was worth it, right? Do not pass go, motherfucker, do not collect $200.

11. I was just reminded of 1999...
That is exactly how enough outrage came out to impeach and prosecute Clinton.

But treason and other related charges are well, passe compared to unsolicited affairs.

23. Well, it wasn't really outrage. Clinton had a very high approval rating
It was just that they had enough RW shills in congress at the time.

he should also be in jail for the energy bill they just signed; slandering Michael Schiavo; murdering 1,900 American soldiers and various other war crimes. And if you could jail someone for posessing an "illiterate speech pattern" then I'd lock his ass up NOW

easy.

It's just... unbelievable, how these bastards have managed
to pull all this off. And still be in power.

I've posted my suggestions over the last few days, but without much of a response, there are so many threads.

Tell me what else I can do. We need to remind this country that Dems made this country great and it is Dems who can make it great again.

Why can't we catalog/highlight/talk about every single pork-laden bill, every subpoenaed/indicted R, every scandal? If we started doing that, the MSM would listen, I know they would. I don't care who says they won't/don't listen to us, they are in the pocket of the R's. The reason, IMO, is because WE AREN'T SAYING ANYTHING!!!

Let's try it and see what happens.

What do you think?

28. Newbie in overload.......*S*
Geez, there's so much information available from so many places talking about sooooooo many crimes and lies for which this administration is responsible.

What I'm looking for are irrefutable facts to bring up when confronted with on-the-fence folks...I know the diehard * supporters are too full of Kool-Aid to pay attention.

Can any of you recommend websites that list these things SIMPLY and CLEARLY, or are there threads here that have done the same? So much of this is hard to explain (and absorb at times)....clearcut facts, minus theory, would be so helpful. Perhaps it requires dividing the mess into categories: neocon agenda, specific Bush-Cheney administration crimes and lies, corporate media/MSM role.

My apologies if I've missed threads which do this. Like I said, I'm a bit in overload.

Thanks in advance for the help.... :)

The war in Iraq:dangerous Decision (half way down the page for video)

Here is a good example to argue Iraq/Al Quaeda connection (there isn't one)

O?DONNELL: And, finally, the president has made the case that winning the war in Iraq is central to winning the war on terror and making sure that Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda cannot take?harm the United States. Is that true, if we win there, will that help?

SCHEUER: No, ma?am. The war in Iraq has broken the back of our counterterrorism effort. I?m not an expert on the threat posed by Saddam Hussein, but the invasion of Iraq has made sure this war will last decades ahead and it has transferred bin Laden and al Qaeda from being man and an organization into being a philosophy and a movement. We?ve really made sure that the war against us is going to be a long and very bloody one. Iraq was an absolutely disastrous decision.

QUOTE: "It has transformed bin Laden and Al Qaeda from being a man and an organization into being a philosophy and a movement."

That is one of the best I've seen. If * concentrated his efforts to get that lunatic, instead of invading Iraq.....well, need I say more?

14. Not a bad list as an introduction
Edited on Sat Aug-20-05 08:27 AM by VIHMH5L50P
But far too short, and you're way too lenient with him.

As for me I would settle for no less than the death penalty.

Honest, he's guilty of crimes against humanity for God's sake. At least over a hundred thousand human beings have lost their lives because of him, and I think he's going for a record.

Remember how he used to approve all those Texas executions when he was governor?

Anybody know that he gave clemency to only one death row inmate, JUST ONE, in all his years as Governor. And there were lots of cases that were real borderline, where it was somebody young with less mental ability, and many other tragic things, but for them he signed the death warrant without batting an eye.

So you know who he did make an exception for? It was that sick mass murderer, I forgot his name, but he killed over 80 people. He was famous for a while, being flown to cities all around the U.S. where he went in the company of police to identify grave sites of just dozens and dozens of his victims. YEP, THAT'S THE GUY BUSH TOOK PITY ON!

AND I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP. After I learned about it I couldn't understand why the media never talked about this. I was more ignorant of the media back then.

Well just so happens that guy was in a secret society which many think has ties to the Skull & Bones, and I've read there is a code among them where they cannot carry out a sentence against each other if they're ever in a jury or in a position of power like Bush was. So that would tell you which laws Bush really respects.

And that's the only explanation I've heard that makes any logical sense but gives us a sick glimpse of what an sob we have in charge.

So as far as I'm concerned he deserved the death penalty before he was even sworn in (and you're not giving it to him even after 5 years as president).

18. Thank you for including Haiti on the list. Haiti makes me cry.
Edited on Sat Aug-20-05 08:50 AM by lostnfound
I read a children's book to my young son about Haiti the other day, about how these poor children suffered so much with poverty and fear of violence, and eventually were able have a home, which got burned down, and then rebuilt it but also got their own radio station.

The book ends on a happy note. I didn't tell my son that the horrible men are back in power, that the children's radio has been shutdown, and probably many of its 'alumni' are on the run now, or dead, for being Lavalas. What a tragedy and an outrage.

Lets not forget this is the first person to occupy the White House who has a criminal record. That and the fact that he never answered for his desertion during war time should be in the list.
