Damn, just found this on Encore 340, half done. Jimmy Cliff's documentary on coming of age in Jamaica in the 60's. I haven't seen this in 30 years.

Really was quite a fascinating documentary for the times. I'm getting a contact high just watching all the spliff rollin and bong burning their doing...LOL.

Seeing the planes drop in and picking up the bales....those were the days, $5 bucks bought you 1/2 a Wonder bread bag full of the ganja.

The movies got it all. "Who's making all the money?"

6. This was quite a political movie, actually.

The story is about a poor Jamaaican kid who sings his way to fame...only to be oppressed by the man. And Jimmy rebels against him, in a big way.
