I got to hear Under Sec. of Def. Michael Wynne babble |

This morning I watched the begining of the BRACK commission hearing.
Principi asked him the first question of the day and it was embarassing watching Wynne babble and spin and babble until he passed the question on to Francis Harvey, Army Sec., who fudged the answer some more.
Principi was not amused. nor I.
the commission also pointed out a tricky move in counting the cost of the base closing and movings the military was offering. (you know how inventive the pentagon can get in talking finances).
at that point I turned off the TV

1. I tried to watch it and turned it off also. Awful... One wonders how |

the "Military States" and their Senators can answer their contituents over these drastic "Base Closings" when we've been fed a diet of "Terror, Terror, Terror.
Does seem to me that it's kind of obvious that Bush/Rummy/Cheney think that Homeland Security can be delt with with "Private Security Contractor's from the Washington Posts big Owner of "Kaplan Security" and that the rest of it will come from "hot shots" who are "BushBots" who sign up for the "Independent Contractor" route for our NEW MILITARY with the Blackwater Group and other Private Contractors who are based in some of our "RED STATES UNDER THE RADAR."
Iven our "State Police" are now "Private Contractors" according to the experience of those who attened Santorum (R-PA)'s Book signing at Barnes and Noble in PA where a State Police Person tried to arrest young Americans and since he's not beholden to State Laws might have been successful if a savy "mom" hadn't intervened.
Private Military is Rumsfeld's "wet dream." But, it might be the new reality we will need as CITIZENS to protect ourselves from.
No recognition of "Geneva Conventions" (So 20th Century for these folks) and no recognition of International Law Treaties (So 20th Century for these folks) and in the end we "EMPLOY MERCENARIES..to do our "Dirty Work."
It's kind of sickening if one thinks about it too much. :-(
