The war in Iraq is going poorly, gas prices will be a huge drag on the economy, and he's pissed off the women in this country with his shoddy treatment of a Gold Star mother. Many are taking a stand against having their sons and daughters shipped off to die so that some kid can play soccer in a sandpit 7,000 miles away.
Each of these alone is a problem for his administration, but collectively they add up to big trouble for conservatives.
With the war getiting increasingly unpopular and 2006 elections looming watch for wide cracks to develop in his party. Congressmen and Senators will do whatever it takes to preserve their seats next year, and having an anchor like Bush around their necks will force them to confront him on these issues.
And add to this in the scandal in places like Ohio, where republicans are finding out they've been had, and I'd say Bush is becoming a pariah to his own supporters.
Nothing makes me happier than to see arrogant, tough talking, know-it-all people write checks their asses can't cover.
I say stand aside and let these bastards fail through their own misdeeds, and give them no chance to try to shift the blame elsewhere.
It looks like they're doing a fine job of digging their own graves, so no sense getting my shovel dirty this time.
