Conservative Pundits Bailing by the Busload - Daily Kos
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/8/21/124310/445

"First, the defection. Andy McCarthy declared today:

For what it's worth, this is where I get off the bus.

...even if I suspended disbelief for a moment and agreed that the democracy project is a worthy casus belli, I am as certain as I am that I am breathing that the American people would not put their brave young men and women in harm's way for the purpose of establishing an Islamic government. Anyplace.

And Jonathan Adler quotes a bailing Professor Bainbridge, who starkly states: "It's time for us conservatives to face facts. George W. Bush has pissed away the conservative moment by pursuing a war of choice via policies that border on the criminally incompetent." Adler goes squishy and mumbles: "While I am not sure I agree with his analysis, he raises questions that conservatives should address.""

Lots of fun comments, too.

1. That's a good start, but I'm waiting for the BIG ones to bail!
I want to see Lott, Frist, Hastert, and Allen. THEN I'll believe the tide is really turning and Shrub is history!

2. These sound like fairly
intelligent people but then you've got your diehard nutcases and it turns out America has a lot of them.

I don't want to put a damper on these defections..I hope it continues to multiply like Rabbits!

3. here it comes
I felt it coming all the way back in October....
I knew it would come, Bush was just too stupid, too arrogant.
This war was just too poorly planned, too doomed to failure.
