I think we need to send the Commander in Chief for an Iraq rotation.
He needs a rotation over there to 'fix' the apparent discrepancy between what he says and what's happening on the ground. Cheney, the war's fierces proponent, should immediate take up residence in Bagdad to shape local opinion about the war. Propaganda Dick is sorely needed in a country quickly decending toward civil war.

Given the extreme shortage of military personel, I see no reason why Bush and Cheney shouldn't take their turn. After all, we have special forces driving truck. I see no reason why the President and Vice President shouldn't be co-opted for the Iraq effort which Bush himself says is critical to America's future.

Bush and Cheney will be spittin' happy sitting in the middle of all that oil.

And heck, it would sure solve a lot of problems here at home.

3. One day I'm going to have to sit down and write a post on the MANY...
...reasons why I could no longer stomach the Republican party.

For now, I'll just say it all started when I was happily working within the Republican party in Texas, and Bush began his run for the President. Nothing perceptable in the party when he ran for governor, but when it hit President, I started feeling all this weird * in the party that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but just felt filthy wrong (if you know what I mean). I was already discontented because of the rise of the Religious Right, and was ripe for leaving the party. That odd feeling that something going on wasn't quite right was the thing that did it. I've wandered in the political wilderness since then, trying to find my way. Bush again came to the rescue, and drove me to the left through his revolting policies.

So here I am! :loveya:

4. What he does best.
Sit in an undisclosed location and shovel out propaganda. Heck, if we can keep him busy enough with propaganda, maybe we can keep the US Budget from going bust.
