While patriots at Camp Casey swelter, *'s vacation in Idaho goes upscale
By email from American Progress.

While patriots at Camp Casey swelter in the Texas heat, *, the most rested pResident since Calvin Coolidge, is taking a vacation from his vacation in Idaho. Very upscale.

* will be vacationing over the next couple of days at the luxurious Tamarack Resort in Donnelly, Idaho. Joining him and Laura will be the Governor of Idaho, Dick Kempthorne, and his wife. (The relationship is cozy: Kempthorne "received a $2,500 donation from the resort's developers to help retire his 2002 campaign debt." Tamarack, in turn, has benefited from the governor's advocacy of tax breaks.

The Idaho Statesman reports, "What the president will be doing at the resort has been kept secret, but there's a good chance he will be eating huckleberry muffinsfrom Flight of Fancy Bake Shop in Donnelly."

The resort offers "a world-class ski mountain, a Robert Trent Jones II signature golf course and beautiful Lake Cascade, suitable for swimming, sailing, fishing, sea kayaking, and boating."

Note the branch across the path, serving as *'s "mark".

1. What in THE hell is he doing...
...traipsing all over the country on vacation??????????

How stupid and ridiculous can one man look?

The man is a walking billboard of absurdity and embarrassment. I am so ashamed that he is our leader. He's a frickin, useless numb skull.

These vacations and the vacations from the vacations remind us all that he is a DO NOTHING lump.

I bet this is why the jerk barely passed his college classes or failed at every single business dealing. The man goofs off more than anyone I've ever known.

ANYONE in the working world! Please let me know if you know ANYONE AT ALL who took ONE SOLID MONTH of vacation away from their job!

NO ONE behaves this way or acts like this. The man is an abomination!

3. It's hard to believe
that American's are taking this crap. The entire world has to be shaking it's head about now, wondering how in the world the great US people allowed themselves to get to this point. It is shameful.

4. And ever worse than the people at Camp Casey
What about the ten soldiers that have died in the past 48 hours and the tens of thousands in harm's way?? How can that fucking idiot say something as bitterly ironic as "I have to get on with my life" and go on a five week vacation and cycle around with Lance Armstrong (with whom I am SADLY disappointed!) while he has condemned so many young Americans to an ongoing horribly life altering and possibly life ending ordeal??

What a dick.

6. I think the more time off he takes, the worse it looks.
We can use this to our advantage, by repeating over and over what we all know...
he can't relate to the average American. He vacations as 1500 more troops are
called up. He can't face a woman who lost her son in his idiotic war. He can't feel
compassion when it's not in him.

I know he's not up for re-election, but maybe there will be some negative trickle -
down effect on the Repub party this next election.

8. Don't expect *any* substantive reporting on this from The Idaho Statesman
They've been Bush fluffers since pre-sElection 2000--I don't know that I'd even call them a real newspaper. (Full disclosure: I used to work for them years ago and they were guilty of monumentally shitty treatment of their employees.)

So here's a hearty "Fuck you!" to them. They deserve it on so many levels.
