Clark misspeaks again
Clark also sought to position himself as apart from Washington.

"I'm an outsider. I'm not part of the problem in Washington. I've never taken money from a lobbyist. I've never cut a deal for votes," he said.

His campaign said lobbyists have donated roughly $20,000 to Clark's candidacy.

Clark was a paid lobbyist himself. You can see that he was paid to lobby for Acxiom in Clark's "reading room" (1), but if you want to see the second page of that filing, the one that shows who he lobbied and for what purpose, you'll have to check the senate site (2). The second page of the filing is not posted on Clark's site for some reason.

1) http://www.clark04.com/readingroom/financial/lobby/index.php?page=lobby004

2) The second page of the filing that is not posted on Clark's web site:

3. But his "lobbying"
issues were airline and homeland security. I can't take issue with that. He and Dean are a breath of fresh air.

5. He called for disclosure from all the candidates
about their votes and what lobbyists they've had meetings with. That would end the hypocrisy.

8. haha
$20,000. Hmm, lets think. That doesn't sound like too much to me.

Now, do you think that this $20,000 may consist of individual contributions? Are lobbyists allowed to contribute up to the $2000 limit just like everyone else?

I wonder how much money has been donated by Doctors, Farmers, Small business owners, etc?

When one says, "I have never taken money from lobbyists," one is not claiming that no individual who happens to be a lobbyist has ever decided on his or her own volition to donate to one's campaign. The problem with lobbyists donating to campaigns is that they can have DISPROPORTIONATE influence, not that they can have influence, at least as I have always understood it. What a silly hit.

usually he says like "large amounts of money" or "a lot of money" or
something like that.
he must have forgot that part.

i know, i have an idea!
you should actually listen to him speak for once,
instead of relying on the media do your listening for you.

13. Nice try
Campaign donations and money to line a person's pocket in order to persuade them to vote a certain way are two entirely different things. The man has raised millions... I doubt that 20k is going to turn him.
