The brutality of it all was captured on tape outside of Larry's Nightclub on First and Yesler on July 31.

Police say the victims were with two women who'd been groped by the suspects. One of the women threw a hot dog at the suspects and walked away.

These were guys in a bar with two women. The assailants alledgedly groped the women inside the bar, the woman alledgedly threw a hotdog at one of the assailants, who followed them outside. Outside on the sidewalk, a melee ensued.

This is a brutal vid. But it is actually like a few fights I personally have been in, and I am not a vet. I think this incident happens to non-vets every night of the week in America.

Last night on one of the "regular" news shows they were talking about protests here and there, but they "buffered" it up by saying that while many people are very unhappy about HOW the war is going, they only got a solid 13% who were anti-war activists! How's that for putting shades on??? Report the story.... but here's the caveat!!!

the FIRST thing you need to think about and suspect are agents provocateurs.

For the very reason you cite, and a number of others, the people who do NOT want there to BE any protests are typically eager enough to see them end that they're willing to make that happen, which means infiltrating organizations AND/OR simply showing up quietly in the middle (or more likely the edges) of protests and starting something.

* Protesters get discredited (even tho they weren't guilty)
* The cops can start to crackdown, which too many of them really love
* Arrests can be made (whether warranted or not), which disrupts the movement and is intended to demoralize it -- plus it keeps some of the activists tied up elsewhere
* People are dissuaded from attending future protests -- after all, they don't want to get hurt or arrested, etc.
* Again, protesters and their movement get discredited


As a rule, LIBERALS AREN'T VIOLENT. People who want peace are opposed to violence, sometimes even allergic to it.

All of this does make it imperative, however, for ALL protesters to be totally clear on the principle of NON-VIOLENCE (with or without civil disobedience). Probably a lot of good resources via google:

One guy supposedly groping another guy's girl. One woman threw a hot dog at one of the gropers after the men had words, then they walked away with their guys. The gropers followed, apparently ticked off about the hot dog being thrown at them, and a fight ensued, and the alledged gropers apparently beat up the guys who were with the women.

Has nothing whatsoever to do with Iraq, or that these guys were vets from the war. Nor was the fight about the war. KOMO apparently thinks it will make the story better. Hannity glommed on to that because as we all know he is a huge lying ahole.
