Being from Arkansas, I know slick pols and the Huckster is as slick as the Big Dog in his own way. He has governed the state in a very centrist way and even led some fights to do things that the right wingers disapproved of ... specifically trying to find some way to pay for our school systems since the state constitutional provisions for funding are unequal and do not enable an equal opportunity for education as mandated by the state constitution.

His "street cred" with the righties is cemented by his former gig as a Baptist minister even though he has done many things that they don't like ...

BUT ...

unlike Frist, he doesn't carry the baggage from intense efforts to get face time on the Evening News and saying outlandish shit (She doesn't look brain dead to me) plus, he is a sitting governor. I think this bastard could cause us some heartache, I really do.

He's doing New Hampshire soon. This could get interesting.
