Noe sent Taft a Beanie Baby

COLUMBUS — Thomas W. Noe — likely Ohio’s most famous coin and Beanie Baby dealer — gave a praying Beanie Baby bear named “Hope” to Gov. Bob Taft.

The gift was among several small items that Taft received from Noe, according to public records from the governor’s office obtained by The Dispatch.

The name of the plush bear matches that of first lady Hope Taft.

remember when the BWC scandal first broke there were references that some investments for the state included collectables... including beanie babies.

This whole story reads more and more like a farce every day. Except there is no "literary genious" writing a farce - this is apparently the real world in one-party rule Ohio.

send a package with beanie babies - each with a tag from an "appraiser" per the "market value" of the item (this is how Noe did the coins, but he also bought the appraisal outfit...).

5. did you catch the other story today ala taft's gop ohio?

taft's top security guy was demoted - seems he was doing the strip club thing locally, nationally (on a trip doing ground work before a taft appearance in NYC), and internationally (trade trip to asia) - the tittilating item in the head lines was that a stripper named Cinammon, from columbus, left him a message on his state paid phone line - that included her stripper alias/name in the message.

it is past absurd - and into pure farce territory.
