11. Watching the live stream.
By the time it gets up here, it might still be a Tropical Storm, a Tropical Depression at the least.

8. I'm just talking about the oval that's usually on the curtains behind Bush
It's a minor point but I have never seen the oval cut off like that.

7. good for them!
This is NOT THE TIME to be hyping for Iraq and their two-bit "constitution"! I seriously wonder about people too much of the time. Why don't people get their priorities straight? I guess this is too much to ask of many, especially *! :grr:

Take care New Orleans!

:kick:

9. Why does Chimp keep praising the Iraqi Constitution?
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 01:01 PM by kenny blankenship
They don't have anything more than a collection of drafts that the Sunnis and Shia keep fighting over (with Sunnis rejecting any final form and threatening civil war) As of today, this draft hasn't even been passed out of the drafting committee. If the Shia decide to vote on the draft in their parliament, they can "pass" it, but the constitution still has to be ratified by a referendum, province by province, to have any effect. If they are very unhappy with it, it is believed the Sunnis can block the adoption by referendum.
Chimp is praising nothing at this point, but he and the compliant media are giving Amurkins the impression that Iraq is one big happy family. Shia are insisting on the federalism (suggested by the Americans) and under this model oil revenues would be kept by the Shia and Kurdish provinces with the Sunnis getting nothing (the oil is in the shia south and kurdish north). If they won't budge--and they don't look likely to--there will be civil war.

13. How dare he do that. New Orleans is in
need of a sane president talking about their safety. Not mr. loony toons. What a nasty jerk. I was watching the tennis matches and switched caught the first part of his speech, threw up and got diarrhea during his mention of Iraq.
