WTH? CNN has a tape of bush** saying that the Iraqis have approved
a draft Constitution today. I am so ashamed and embarrassed for my poor country. How can people let this clown get away with this shit. Spewing lies about democracy and free elections?

I have never hated a person that I didn't know like I hate this guy. Some people may say that this is wrong, but I think it is wrong not to hate someone as corrupt and sleazy as this pointy earred lying cretin.

Edit: of course, it all depends on what your definition of "approved" is!

11. It's the "Committee" minus the Sunnis and minus
the vote by the Assembly; they are bypassing that one.

7. why would the Sunni minority bother waiting to lose an election?
So, yeah, they'll take up arms in an organized, ethnic-based civil insurrection. And it won't stay a civil war. Other countries will get involved...

9. Don't Think That will Happen....
To have the Sunni's vote to in effect enshrine their own powerlessness and minority status, whatever the Constitution looks like, is unlikely. They will take their chances, it's my guess, with civil war after we leave next year. Which they are damn good at and likely to win rather than some bogus U.S. designed paper-mache democracy.

I could be wrong though.

10. the reason why, is because if the Sunnis reject it in their 3 areas
the constitution fails, and they are back to square one

13. You may be right...
things might hold off until after the vote, but it is an intractable situation, and a civil seems inevitable.

16. I don't think the Sunnis can 'take' the Kurds.
The Shia, maybe, but not the Kurds.

6. Sunni Arab negotiators called the document "illegal,"
At a press conference, Sunni Arab negotiators called the document "illegal," and called on the United Nations and the Arab League to intervene and prevent its passage.

His statement, although technically true, is highly misleading.
This fucker will never pass.

12. This, like everything the chimp touches, has been royally botched
The Sunnis are pissed.
Women will be relegated to the same status as animal property
Even releasing 1000 minor "criminals" from Abu Ghraib this week isn't going to make people buy in to this piece of shit constitution.

This will unleash holy hell. Just watch.
